The descent of Kukulkán
The 2026 fall equinox at Chichén Itzá falls on September 22. During the phenomenon, sunlight projects seven triangles onto the northern staircase of El Castillo, creating the optical illusion of a feathered serpent descending to earth — the very phenomenon behind the name of our Maya Observatory Suite.
